Paradise

CC and I decided on an impromptu holiday for the labour day weekend. Part of my cuti cuti Malaysia plan earlier this year.. since its quite short, we thought of just heading to Sutra Beach Resort and Spa in KT for more of a retreat weekend. just lazy by the beach and pool, have some spa treatment etc. the resort itself is nopt that bad but it was so quiet and a little boring to our liking. more of a dive resort actually. so, since its was still our first day, and the thought of spending another two days there wasn't as exciting, we dicided to check out and head to nearby Redang or Perhentian island. The jetty to Redang was closer but since SB and DH were already on Perhentian Besar, we opted there. an hour cab ride and 20 mins of a rather daunting boat ride later, there we were. at the paradise!

Perhentian was spectacular! my first time in east coast beach. i've heard loads, but trustme when i say what i saw was way more that what i had imagined! I was like a kid in a candy store for the whole time. the rest of the gals have been there.. the just laughed as i sd "i'm glad we decided to come out here' like a zillion times! The waters are a luminous green and I can see a coral seabed spread all over. Coconut trees over the sandy beaches and lush green vegetation were covering the hillsides. It was like walking on a postcard. our chalet was a mere 10 meters from the clear water.. can you imagine? *sigh* i'm so missing it now.

I'm not one to fall asleep by the beach usually. But this time, I fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach.. more than once. we did nothing but just lie by there, the whole time. reading or just enjoying the scene and listening to the sound of waves. . no diving or snorkeling. pure Zen weekend. the lovely beach with the water is enticing shades of aqua and emerald green is so fresh in my memory i wanna go back again. Here are some shots from my new G11..

you should! don't worry about the boat ride. i'm just super paranoid about thses things. there were so many families with small kids there.. should be fine.
