done and away

last weekend was a bit of a rollercoster ride. We celebrated my little nieces 1st year bday on Saturday. Trust me, it was a such a big hu hah. almost like organising a wedding. started the prep 2 weeks before. But thank God, everything went smoothly and lotsa fun. not to mention the cleaning afterwards too. Sunday on the other hand, was a little depressing, considering it was mum's day. me and bro stayed in all day.

and i'm done with my room. more or less-la. left with just installing the air-cond. I managed to persuade my dad for a new bed. hehehe. moved the old one to my sista's room. well, she is not here most of the time, plus hers is rather old. she didnt mind. in fact, the bed suits her room better. the wood flooring upstairs compliments the light toned bed frame very well. I promised to get her a new dressing table to match the bed before she gets back for her summer hol. back to mine, I got a Japanese bed.. love it. I changed the original position of the bed. its now facing the west, which according to Feng shu1 is the right way. have been reading a bit on feng shu1 for bedroom. will post them sometime.. the the room now looks a lot bigger than it used to. and btw, i did not repaint the room. Apart from the build in wardrobe which is in chestnut colour, all other furniture's are dark brown. So, it kind of makes the room a little gloomy as it is. the amber colour i had planned for might make the room too dark then. maybe I should get a new pair of curtains instaed. on a brighter shade. The first thought when i was done with the final touch, which were the frames & posters was, 'mum would surely approve this'. she'll love it. sigh. so, anyways, i'll put up the photos soon...

and I'm going away for a week or so. Not sure where exactly but i need some time away. dad's not in town and i thought this is the right time before I start work in July. heading off to Spore first. Visiting S & M for a few days. Thinking of Phuket or Bangkok after that. Phuket stands better chance. Bangkok might be a bit of a blow to the pocket. am a shopaholic as it is, what more when i am feeling all down. might end up buying the entire city! M was saying that there are some last minute cheap deals to Perth by one of the low cost airlines in Spore. Her friend paid about 200 Sing the last time. might check that out too. either way, i'll see you guys when i'm back, all refreshed and energetic. adios for now.
