Action

spoke louder than the word!

This whole thing feels different. its the first elections i'm actually involved. I mean, really involved, following thru everything the last 13 days.. Dad, bro & I stayed awake till almost 5 with malaysiakini and awani, getting updates, shouting, laughing, in shock, disbelief mostly, but very glad. glad that finally the word 'democracy' has found its way to Malaysia... For one, I couldn't for the life of me believe that Uncle Sam actually LOST! I mean, we all know lots of people wanted him out, despised him and all. But its him, its the same him most of these people have despised all the while. so, why now? well, not anymore i guess.

The ruling party have been way too proud, to the point of arrogance where Pak Lah actually had the guts to publicly warn the Chinese & Indians saying voting out MIC/MCA would mean we are taking chances on not having a representative in the government. looks like we have taken the chance, and now what? there is going to be so much of squabbling and nail biting over the coming few weeks for sure.. But some of the lingering questions..

will any of the newly elected opposition MPs jump ship and join BN? will we see a new PM?
Will they appoint Uncle Sam as a Senator? who will will be vacating their parliamentary seat for Anwar next month when he will be able to stand for candidacy again? his wife, daughter or someone else? will he be made opposition leader then? Looking forward to the exiting few weeks to come. Malaysia boleh!
