overnight...

I know its been ages. But its 2.20AM, I'm still wearing whatever I wore to the office this morning (including the shoe and stockings), still have a zillion e-mails to reply and have to be in the office at 8AM (on the dot) for a join con-call. and no, I do not have the choice of not attending or taking it from elsewhere... so here I am still wondering if I should rush and finish (errgh, 'finish' doesn't quite apply), do as much as I can and get a couple of hours nap or just stay up all night.. plus suddenly got this urge to blog. but to write nothing in particular. so i'm going to do a random post on the happenings since new year..

1. New Year was great and my Kerala trip was fantastic! The boathouse was just too good to be true! I intended to write more on the trip, but not sure now.
2. Mum's first year prayers went well, and I cannot believe its actually been more than a year..
3. It had to snow in Shanghai after some God know how many years on the day I arrived there for the team meeting last month. Got wet in the snow, fell really ill, but had no choice to sit thru all the meetings. went to the doc straight from the airport and was almost bed ridden 4 days.. can't remember the last time I was that ill
4. Became famous with my Margarita making skills @ SC's party (will share the recipe soon , but i cheated a bit though) and even more with my Mojito making adventure (took almost an hour to make one glass), truly an adventure that SD managed to capture and broadcast to the world! nope, I'm not available for your next party! (unless of course you have Patrick Demsey in your guest list..)
5. I'm going Perhentian Island next month (finally a proper beach trip in Malaysia) all this while I keep bragging about the wonderful beaches in Malaysia to all the Caucasian and other friends around the world, but never actually been to one.. well, the one to Langkawi when I was 12 or Port Dickson or Cherating doesn't exactly count.
6. Taken up golf lessons but almost never practice and beginning to feel its not my cup of tea
7. I gave in to the pressure of not being able to get into half my cloths & the various 'have you put on weight?' Qs that I finally joined the Gym (Celebrity Fitness in Bangsar Village).. Of course this means i'm home late at least 2 days a week, but no choice. Its been Ok so far, except this week since I'm travelling. I brought my gears to use the hotel gym, but.. u know
8. I'm getting a new car. more like I want to get one. Nothing wrong with the current, except it gulps water like no body's business. The point is also that I never really bought a car on my own.. I like SUV's generally. They are high, sporty but not as big as the MPVs. Grand Vitara kind of tops the list of preference at the moment..
9. My Sis in law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (Keerthi).. But they are back in Cameron Highland for the confinement period, along with Shankri the monster of course and I'm so terribly missing her. Its been 3 weeks and i'm supposed to go visit with my bro this weekend. can't wait!!
10. Malaysian General election's this Saturday. I'm not voting and not in the least bit proud of that but those of you who can, please exercise your rights, wisely!

Okie, thats all for now. Its almost 3. I'm going to do a few more mails and then hopefully catch up with some sleep..
