Work aside, my social life is a real roller coaster. One week I’m back home after work in front of the idiot box by 630 almost everyday and the other leaves me busted by midweek. this week’s been the later. working from home today, because after the long week I can’t think of anything else besides lazy couch & idiot box for Friday nite. plus i'm out tomorrow for a friend's bday dinner+shopping. (Yey!) Though a bit busy with Q1 deadlines and all at work, its not totally unbearable. It wasn’t work that I never got home before 11 the whole week. Monday was gym and drink with an old friend, Tuesday salsa (yes, you read it right. salsa), Wed at the range and yesterday was work. a friend said i'm taking more than I can chew, with all the activity i get into. God knows why I started salsa when I’ve already committed one day for golf and two more for gym so I can get back in decent time at least twice a week. it was just too tempting when SS suggested I could hardly resist. But hey, no regrets. It’s so much fun that i'm dreading the range already. So much for all the hype when I first started. want to become an amateur konon.
was almost ten by the time I left office last night. yea right, whats the big deal with ten? well, for the first time I was the last one out of office. A bit scary especially at the carpark. mine was the only one there, right in the middle. the thing is, nothing was that urgent I couldn’t leave and continue at home like I usually do. Was working on something I didn’t want to loose the momentum. I planned to leave at 630 for my 7 o’clock wax appointment (which i didn't make obviously) but by the time I realised it was already 7. the next thing I know my sis in law called at 9 to tell one of my favourite movie was on telly. That had it. thought I should leave to at least catch half of the show (I have the dvd and watched it a million times that I remember each and every single line by heart). by the time I wrapped up and packed, it was ten. Just like that. The longest I’ve stayed back, my record in the last almost one year with the firm. Not that I don’t work late, in fact I do wee hours at least a few days a week. Comes part of the job when your boss is 14 hours behind. But never in the office. I usually leave before peak to avoid traffic and continue work at night while watching telly (I’m a girl. we multi task). my boss will be on-line, easier to discuss and sort things than to send e-mail and wait one whole day for reply. The flexibility is part of why I love my job (next to the perks of course) and I actually do really enjoy what I do (this should be the main reason rite?). Now, how many people have that? Lucky me. At least in this one.
